“Stories from Long Ago” is a beautifully illustrated children’s series that invites young readers to discover the wonder and wisdom of Islamic prophetic teachings.
When my children were little, there weren’t very many illustrative and easy-to-connect children’s books available. When my mom asked me for a children’s book to read in her children’s group, I stumbled upon this one. Before giving it to her, I read it one morning while sipping my cup of joe. The moment I opened the book…I was transfixed on the beautiful illustrations and the rhyming story of our beloved Prophet. The story flows seamlessly from one page to the next and keeps the reader captivated. This will be my go-to gift for all the children I know!!
As a grandmother of two kids – ages 3 and 5, I am always looking for Islamic books for children that are interesting and fun to read. This was PERFECT – an answer to a prayer :-). It is not preachy or heavy – just fun to look at, fun to read, and I am sure that this will be the book that the kids will pick repeatedly. I plan to buy one of these for every kid I know! Note to Author – PLEASE WRITE MORE BOOKS 🙏🏼 ❤️
The book is authored for a 6-10 year old to read, but for younger children to really appreciate. Love the illustrations – so captivating for the younger ones. And the poetry allows children to almost memorize these stories. The family reading together is heart warming. I know the author personally – and she is a wonderful person.
